Product Introduction
Background
Bovine Serum Albumin, also known as Bovine albumin or Cohn Fraction V, is abbreviated as BSA. BSA has a wide range of laboratory applications and is often used as a blocking agent in immunoassays, including ELISA and WB (Western Blot). As carrier protein, crosslinking it with haptens and other weak antigens can enhance their immunogenicity in antibody production. In restriction endonuclease digestion reactions, BSA is often used as a reaction stabilizer for some enzymes and can prevent them from adhering to the tube walls and pipette tips. BSA is also often used as a nutrient for cell and microbial culture.

FAQs
-
Q:1 What are the common substitutes for FBS in serum-free or low serum culture media?
AnswerCommon substitutes for fetal bovine serum (FBS) in serum-free or low-serum media include serum albumin (human or bovine serum albumin), platelet lysate, transferrin, and insulin. These components are often used individually or in defined combinations to support cell growth, survival, and metabolic activity in the absence or reduction of serum.
-
Q:2 What is the serial number and host for Recombinant Human Insulin Solution (10mg/ml)?
AnswerThe sequence number of this insulin is P01308, it is full-length, and the expression host is yeast.

Q:3 If I use Pricella's B-27 (50x) to prepare Neurobasal + 2% B-27(50x), how do I prepare it? Is it 2% based on 50x or 2% based on 1x?
Answer2% based on 50×. For example, prepare 100 mL medium means adding 2 mL B-27(50×), the concentration is 2%.
