Instructions	1. Check all containers for leakage or breakage. 2. Remove the frozen cells from the dry ice packaging and immediately transfer them to liquid nitrogen (liquid or vapor phase) for long-term cryopreservation. 3. This cell line is a suspension cell line. Harvest the cell suspension by centrifugation; do not discard the culture medium directly.

Reference materials

Background	JeKo-1 was established from peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a patient with the large cell variant of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) exhibiting leukemic conversion. JeKo-1 cells are Epstein–Barr virus-negative and display a B-cell phenotype positive for IgM. The cells overexpress cyclin D1, Bcl-2, c-Myc, and Rb proteins. Bcl-1/J_H gene rearrangement has been confirmed by polymerase chain reaction, and JeKo-1 cells are highly tumorigenic in SCID mice.
