2. Remove the frozen cells from the dry ice packaging and immediately transfer them to liquid nitrogen (liquid or vapor phase) for long-term cryopreservation.
3. This cell line is a suspension cell line. Harvest the cell suspension by centrifugation; do not discard the culture medium directly.

Background The MOLT-4 cell line was established from a patient with relapsed leukemia who had received prior multidrug chemotherapy. A G→A transition occurs at codon 248 of the TP53 gene, with no detectable p53 protein expression. MOLT-4 cells do not produce immunoglobulins or Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). MOLT-4 and MOLT-3 cells are derived from the same patient.
