Product Introduction

General information
Cell Name OPM2
Synonyms OPM-2
Cellosaurus Accession CVCL_1625
Organism Human
Growth Properties Suspension
Morphology Single, round to polygonal cells in suspension
Tissue Peripheral blood
Age 56Y
Sex 女性
Instructions 1. Check all containers for leakage or breakage.
2. Remove the frozen cells from the dry ice packaging and immediately transfer them to liquid nitrogen (liquid or vapor phase) for long-term cryopreservation.
3. Some dead cells are present shortly after recovery; they can be removed by low-speed centrifugation.
4. This cell line has a slow proliferation rate; the subculture split ratio should not be too high.
5. During culture, as cell density increases, the color of the culture medium changes significantly; timely medium exchange is recommended.
Complete Medium RPMI-1640 [PM150110]+10% Nutrient+1% Supplement
Incubation Atmosphere Air, 95%; CO₂, 5%
Temperature 37℃
Subcultivation Ratio 5×10⁵-2×10⁶ cells/mL
Medium Renewal 2 to 3 times per week
Subculturing Procedure Cultures can be maintained by either supplementing with fresh medium or exchanging medium via centrifugation. The recommended centrifugation conditions are 1200 rpm (approximately 250 × g) for 3 minutes.
Freeze Medium 90% FBS+10% DMSO
Storage Conditions For long-term cryopreservation, cryovials should be stored in liquid nitrogen at −150°C to −196°C. Storage at −80°C is restricted to short-term interim use only.
Background OPM2 was established from the peripheral blood of a 56-year-old woman with multiple myeloma (IgG lambda) in leukemic phase (relapse, terminal) in 1982; described in the literature to carry t(4;14) leading to IGH-FGFR3 (IGH-MMSET) fusion gene.
Biosafety Level BSL-1
