| Background | The Ramos [RA 1] cell line was derived from a 3-year-old Caucasian male/female patient with Burkitt's lymphoma. RAMOS cells are EBV-negative, express IL-4 receptors and low-affinity IgE receptors (CD23), and display approximately 1500 IL-4 binding sites per cell. RAMOS cells secrete IgM and express both membrane-bound and secreted forms of immunoglobulin. |
