| Background | The RL cell line is a human non‑Hodgkin B‑cell lymphoma cell line established in 1983 from the ascites of a 52‑year‑old male patient with diffuse large B‑cell lymphoma. Treatment with protein kinase C‑activating phorbol esters, including PMA and PdBu, results in significant growth inhibition in RL cells. This cell line is negative for the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) genome. |
